Integrated Physiotherapy
Expert coaching and tailored physiotherapy to enhance your cricketing performance.
Overview
Do physical and functional weaknesses of a player create a ceiling on a technical and performance development?
This question has inspired the development and launch of an elite integration of cricket coaching and physiotherapy led by Luke Humphrey (Director of Coaching) and George Cooper (GC Physiotherapy)
George qualified in 1997 at the University of Hertfordshire as a chartered physiotherapist and completed his MSc in sports injury and therapy at the University of Manchester in 2006. Since then George has spent his whole professional career as a physiotherapist working at professional clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Charlton Athletic, West Ham United and Birmingham City. He has worked for 14 managers in that time including Alan Curbishley, Alan Pardew, Gianfranco Zola, Iain Dowie, Steve Bruce, Alex McCleish, Chris Hughton and David Platt. He has been responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of players such as, Ian Wright, John Terry, Jimmy Floyyd Hasselbaink, Craig Bellamy, Freddie Ljungberg, Scott Parker, Paulo Di Canio and many more.
In December 2012 George realised his dream of opening a private practice in his local town of Stansted in Essex. He offers the opportunity to experience the same level of treatment as those professional footballers he has treated over the last fifteen years.
Following a back injury in the winter of 2012/2013 Luke visited George’s clinic to undergo rehabilitation and now continues both for his own personal fitness and as HECCSport’s professional consultant. With GCPhysiotherapy, we provide an unrivalled high performance environment where the following services are available.
